Award-winning Selanne Steak Tavern, located in a historic 1934 home on Pacific Coast Highway, brings the spirit of classic American steakhouses and taverns to Southern California’s iconic Laguna Beach. Proprietors Hockey Hall of Famer and six-time Olympian Teemu Selanne and local businessman Kevin Pratt are friends who share a commitment to providing a comfortable and appealing eatery for friends and families to enjoy great food and libations.
Enjoy succulent steaks and chops, superb poultry, game and seafood, artisan cocktails, beers and selections from our 2,750-bottle wine list (focused on California cult wines and other highly-rated, world class wines) in any of our five classic dining settings: The Loft, our upstairs dining room; the bistro-style Wine Library; the handsome Tavern; or outside on the relaxing Veranda or Sunset Terrace. In addition, groups up to 12 can reserve our elite private dining experience dinner experience with a customized multi-course menu and paired wines.

Our Elite Private Dining Experience is available for small groups up to 12 with bespoke menus that focus on unique specialty products in season, some only available depending on the day, as well as opulent gourmet ingredients such as Wagyu beef, truffles, caviar, Nantucket scallops, duck and octopus. Executive Chef Vince Terusa and his team create these distinct tasting menus featuring courses not found on Selanne Steak Tavern’s customary menu. The menus also include delectable canapés and a lavish dessert service. Advanced Sommelier Vito Pasquale oversees paired wine selections from the restaurant’s award-winning list, which specializes in wines produced in California and France. Private tasting menus start at $400 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
